Aisle 3 ~ August Quilt-o-rama
Jean Johnson ~ Bloomer, Wisconsin
Here is a quilt that I made called 'there is a dog on my quilt.' I gifted it to my childhood friend's daughter for her 1st baby. My friend is a first time grandma.

There's a Dog on My Quilt
Delightful Tumbler Quilt
Anne Calvin, Brighton, Michigan
I made this Tumbler quilt using a layer cake, and gifted it to my cousin.
This is a quilt-as-you go. I made it with old jeans and have flannel on back. I used star and moon templates to quilt with. I used my Go Big electric and strip dies: the 1 1/2 , 2 1/2 , and 6 1/2. Didn’t have the 2 1/4 in strip die so cut that with rotary cutter. I made this for my nephew. He graduated from high school last year. Will be giving it to him soon.
Quilt-as-you-Go Quilt
Ada Landwehr, Verona, Ohio
Happy Village Quilt
Anita Hovland, Ayr, North Dakota
This is "Happy Village" made with the Flowering Snowball and the 8" Qube. It is the Accuquilt pattern that convinced me to buy the Qube.
A Jewel Box by Tammy Anderson, Troy, Montana
I have been quilting for 25 years, I have had my Accuquilt for a little more than a year. This quilt, a jewel box, was cut primarily with it, except the border. I actually made 2 of these quilts exactly the same, it measures 60 x 70. My mom was a quilter and sadly passed almost 9 years ago. She had a jaw dropping stash, which I inherited. The turquoise fabrics were a collection of a half yard bundle she had... It always makes me feel good to finish a quilt using her fabrics. I say to her, ‘well Mom, not sure what you were going to do with it but it’s not just sitting on a shelf anymore’. The top has been finished for several months. Eileen, your virtual quilt show was just the impetus I needed to get it on my long arm, and bind it too. I also wanted to push myself to use my Accuquilt.
Sunset Bargello
Tammy Anderson, Troy, Montana
I just got the binding on this morning. Cut entirely with Accuquilt. 20 fabrics, 7/8 yard each in 2 1/2 in strips, cut out in less than an hour with my strip cutting die. I call it ‘Sunset Bargello’. I’m I love with it.
Flowering Snowball Quilt by Paula Walters ~ Rolla, Missouri
I used Kim Diehl fabrics to make this scrappy version. I quilted this on my Bernina Q16 using free motion and rulers.
Antelope Canyon
Cleopatra and Paper Piecing
Exploding Heart Quilt
Quilt of Valor
Quilts made by Carol Fish, Snohomish, Washington
All four quilts were made with Accuquilt. The Exploding Heart of America quilt was made with the 8" cube. My Quilt of Valor was made with Cleopatra's Fan. The black background quilt was made with Cleopatra's fan, the palm die, and strip dies. The curved spikes were made with paper piecing I designed. The Antelope Canyon quilt was a pattern by Laurie Shifrin. It was made with 1.5" & 2.5" strip cutter dies. I love using Accuquilt. If I can't use Accuquilt, I probably won't make it!
Be You ~ A Daughter Quilt
Barbara Brush, Germantown, Ohio
This was a block of the month quilt from last year. It was sitting around because I didn’t have the nerve to send it to be quilted thinking my work wasn’t good enough and I didn’t have the nerve to add a border. I finally added a border and sent it off to be finished. It is for my daughter in law who is definitely her own person and I love her dearly for that! I hope she loves it!
Playing by Carol Osten
Carol Osten, Columbus, Nebraska.
I made this quilt with the 8” Qube. I also used strip dies: 3.5”, 1”, 1.5”, & 2.5”. I’m calling it “Playing” since that’s what I was doing with my Qube. Thanks to Eileen & her wonderful classes!
Memory Quilt
Cindi Renaldo, Eden, NY
The story of this quilt is that I offered to make a memory quilt for my uncle when my aunt passed away. I asked for cotton blouses but the family collected knit polo shirts and jeans. This quilt is about making lemonade out of difficult materials for a memorial quilt. I used fusible interfacing to stabilize the polo knit squares and the circle rag die to cut the jeans. It actually went together easier than I expected. He loves it.
Graduation Quilt
Patty Summers, Missouri
While this is not my first quilt by any means, this is my first quilt using my Accuquilt log cabin die. The quilt was made for my son-in-law. It is my own design. It is very similar to one I made for one of my grandsons for his high school graduation, just a different panel in the center. I do love how much faster it was being able to cut all of the strips for the log cabin blocks with my big cutter!
Puppy Love by Gale Hillyer, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
My first totally finished Quilt As You Go quilt. It’s called “Puppy Love” because it belongs to Kiko, our poodle. I’ve used the 2.5” strip cutter for my bindings. After a quilt is bound, I use the “leftovers” and reuse that die to make 2.5” squares. Nine and sixteen patches will become QAYG donations.
Honoring Mom
N. Yvonne Fenster, Baldwinsville, New York
My Mom had an Accuquilt and gave it to me at the beginning of the year when she knew her time on earth was ending. She was a phenomenal quilter and won many awards. I cut for her over the last several years using the Accuquilt due to her arthritis. I haven't made a quilt in almost 40 years. Here is my first project using the Accuquilt. A friend is teaching me how to use her long arm. I'll donate the quilt to Project Linus to honor my Mom, who donated to them over the last couple of years.
Cindi Renaldo, Eden New York
Sometimes you just want an accent and not a whole quilt.
Accuquilt works for that too.
Fall Fantasy Quilt
Diana Faue, Taylorsville, Kentucky
I love making quilts!! This is my first quilt made with my Accuquilt!
The pattern is in my quilt in a day Go Qube book by Eleanor Burns. Obviously mine is not fall colors!! I love green & yellow together and the daisys!!
A Quilted Gift
Betty Benson, Martin, Georgia
This is an adult bib I just sewed and quilted. The pattern for the shape is from ithinksew. The pieces are from a jelly roll. I quilted in the ditch.
It's not a full size quilt, but something I made for a friend.
Yuletide
“Yuletide” from Annie’s Catalog. I converted this and used more than one Qube, as the blocks were all different. This is the first pattern I made after taking the Pattern Conversion class and I am thrilled that I can do this now.
Red, White and Bloom
“Red, White and Bloom” – again, I used more than one Qube, as the blocks are all different, and mostly embroidered – but it came in handy for cutting most of it.
Peggy Alexander, Blue, Arizona
Mug Rug
Nancy Porter, Valparaiso, Indiana
I am sending this small quilt project to encourage other new quilters. I began with a quilt as you go kit from June Tailor. I was able to use my Accuquilt strip cutter and the 8” cube square to cut pieces. Making something this small enables me to practice decorative stitches, corners, and machine binding.
Square Affair
Shirley Lord, Annapolis, Maryland
I just finished this quilt. I made it for my granddaughter from fabric I bought at Island Quilter in Hilton Head while on vacation, 2 years ago! It's a Sassy Sunflower half pack quilt called Square Affair. It actually took me two half packs because I needed to cut printed salvage off and then the fabric was too small :( I used both packs and made it bigger since she's 5'10'.
Half packs are 5 half yard fabrics already chosen and packaged. Choose a package and then choose from 8 patterns. I've made seven. I've been quilting for two years. Just got my Accuquilt and I'm going to love it.
My First Quilt
Jerri Bailey, North Sioux City, South Dakota
This is the first quilt I made.
It was a Christmas gift for my father-in-law. I transfered some old photos from his day as an MP in Japan during Vietnam war. I also included a photo with his dog tags and some pins. I have a video of him opening it but it's too big to include here.
P.S. He does not use it. He is saving it to drape over his coffin in place of the flag.
Don't these quilts take your breath away? Kudos written to eileen@quiltersb.com.
My Second Quilt ~ Jerri Bailey, North Sioux City, South Dakota
This is the 2nd quilt I ever made...well...not exactly. I refer to as a quilted banner I made to surprise our local VA. It is 3' x 12'. It represents all the US military branches. And each branch has a short history/descriptions. I quilted it on my Husqvarna Viking Topaz 50 using an end-to-end embroidery design. I learned a lot on this one. I did it as 1 whole piece..all 12'....Should have done it in three 4' sections, like a quilt as you go.
Mystery Block of the Month: Quilt #1
Karen Wheeler, Federal Way, Washington
Mystery Block of the Month: Quilt #2
Today I finished my Mystery Build-a-Quilt #2. I put it on our bed since it's too big to hold. 99 × 118" . I made up blocks and used some of our Angles and Corners blocks.
Hunter's Star
Josephine Sienkiewicz, Freehold, New Jersey
I made this Hunter’s Star, cutting with my AccuQuilt Go big. It’s for my husband, who hunts. I included 4 appliqués of deer heads using the die, and the “negative” of the cuts as well. Used a Cuddley fabric as backing. He really liked it.

Island Star ~ Accuquilt Pattern
My sister and BIL visit each year in the summer. This year I introduced her to Accuquilt and quilt making via a quilt class at my LQS.
Cynthia Gamble,
Auburn, Alabama
Completed them in one week so she could take hers home with her. She just might be hooked now!! There has been mention of making another on her own.
Be My Neighbor
Dannell Lee, Cabool, Missouri
I started this quilt in 2017. It was a Pat Sloan Sew Along. Somewhere along the line I misplaced, or used the remaining background fabric.
This year I decided I needed to complete my UFO's and just sewed the completed blocks together to get it done. I wasn't happy with it, until the border was put on.
Started 2017
Completed July 2024

Barbie Quilt
Dannell Lee, Cabool, Missouri
Here's another one I completed today. It's a gift for my 6 year old granddaughter. The log cabin hearts were cut on my studio cutter, as was the binding. I custom quilted the panel portion, and did edge-to-edge on the borders.
The Exploding Heart Quilt
Jean Fretthold, Buffalo New York
Class taken via zoom by Eileen
Fabric purchased at the Aurora Sewing Center
My Challenge Quilt
Jean Fretthold, Buffalo, New York
This quilt was a quilt that I made in Eileen Kisicki Thompsons Challenge quilt class. It included applique, embroidery, piecing blocks, free motion quilting and definitely challenged me. Lots of fun and proud of myself for being able to put together a quilt using all the different techniques I have learned over the last couple of years.
Beautiful Sampler Quilt
Lorie Whiting, Genesee, Idaho
I finished this quilt while waiting for my Accuquilt to get here. I purchased my Accuquilt during the Christmas in July sale. I have been a quilter off and on for about 30 years.
